Tour de France Up Close

Shawn got the opportunity to get some close-ups of the race and a few big names. Here's a selection of some of the things he saw through the lens:

The first is Thomas Voeckler, the maillot jaune ("yellow jersey" which is worn by the current race leader), making his way to the starting line:

And we have been tickled the last few years to have a 2nd degree connection to the Tour de France. One of the announcers for the race, Craig Hummer, is a Kenyon graduate and a classmate of a friend of ours. Here he is in front of the camera as well as preparing for the day:
